Missed My Weigh-In This Week
I totally forgot that I had to weigh-in Monday morning. I’m used to my weekly weigh-ins being on Wednesdays, so when I woke up this morning I went about my business. I finally remembered halfway through the day and decided that it would be best to just skip this week. I don’t want to mess with the equilibrium of my morning weigh-ins (it’s a personal mental thing). I plan on hopping on the scale next Monday, and will hopefully be sub 300 lbs.
Speaking of which, I didn’t feel lighter on my feet last week. I do feel better in my clothes, they feel a bit looser. I happened to wear some jeans that I hadn’t worn in a while and they felt really baggy. That was a good feeling. A really good feeling actually. The last time I felt that feeling was when I got back home after 3 months of boot camp and wore my favorite pair of jeans. They felt way too big, but I wore them anyway.
I took a couple of days off from working out last week, but plan on making up for it this week. I was speaking to a runner friend of mine and told him that I plan on kicking it up a notch in the running department. He has given me a beginner’s marathon training running workout that I have been following and want to move up to the next level soon. I want to make him proud.
Lastly, my cousin left me hanging on Saturday. He didn’t even call me to let me know he wasn’t coming. I left him a message and he failed to return my call. I hope he doesn’t think I am mad at him and avoiding me because of it. I really do want to help him, and myself, so I plan on giving him a call later this week to motivate him.
Peace out!
Sounds good.
I’m kicking it up a notch for two days myself, then a couple of days of cleansing with only light cardio.
I’m just completing a 9 day cleanse, so want to refeed on Friday, then do a photo shoot on Saturday which may or may not happen depending on weather and location.
Then we have my reward day, our Saturday engagement party BBQ. I’ve been planning on Pizza and beer for noon, then an afternoon of good wine on the deck with friends, then a BBQ with red wine for the evening.
I’ve been working towards this reward day for almost a month.
Then I’ve got a body composition testing appt for Monday Sept 1 which kick starts the final push to Mt Everest. Sept is the month I kick it up another notch yet again, so I’m really looking forward to the reward day.
Damn, that sound like a good plan. Work your butt off and be rewarded in more ways than one.
Hey, Can you share the beginner marathon plan?
I know what you mean by feeling better in your clothes. I experienced the same thing yesterday so much so that it felt great! I had to buy one size smaller in my pants and hoping to be buying a smaller pair next week.
I’m on day two of a nine day cleanse. Through those nine days I have committed to eating clean, drinking my water, eating my snacks and exercising as well. Getting geared up for my trip to Vegas in..24 days!
Keep it up! I love reading your blog.
C.
Thanks for sharing that, please keep me updated on your progress.
that’s cool that your clothes feel better. I imagine that as you keep progressing you will start to feel lighter on your feet. Keep up the effort, and hopefully you make it to sub 300 next week.
Let’s hope so. I know that I am doing what I need to do physically for it.
say word………good luck with the running!
He Pre, can you share your beginner marathon plan…?
Sounds good my friend. Stay strong.
Always!
Is, keep it going bro, but I would really suggest that you re-consider starting your marathon training. If your looking for a way to “kick it up a notch”, then I recommend you check out HIIT or the tabata protocol. Basically, would you rather have the body of a sprinter or marathon runner? If you want to run, go for hill repeats, sprints, etc. Also, running for someone at your present size does nothing but wreck your knees. Keep it going …
Thanks Muata. I switch things up a lot. I don’t just do one type of cardio. There are days when I just go for light jogs, some where I do sprints. Some where I bike, and some where I do HIIT. I have been blessed with strong knees, so I am not afraid of wrecking them, but I do take caution and that is why I switch things up.
As far as the marathon training, it’s nothing major: not a full marathon. That is something I know I am not ready for. I have decided to stick to a low mileage one, maybe a 5K or something…
I hear you Is, and you can run the marathon for me too! 😉 I’ve had too many years of playing tennis with the mentality of Sampras with the body of a lineman. Let’s just say that my knees have taken a beating. Also, once I realized that I could lose fat by doing absolutely zero running, my knees were happy. However, the rest of my body hates burpees … LOL!
Ah, burpees. Those are awesome.
I do my weight in on Sunday evening ; man i;m disappointed if i didn’t lost some
It can be stressed enough.
Correct exercise will revitalize body and mind.
Looking for the right balance for body, mind and soul
is a critical mission in our quest for happiness.
Get to the correct bmi is one of those targets, I agree.
Please be careful with high effort exercises such as marathon training when you are far above your normal weight.

Thanks Dan. I am not the normal 300 lb guy. Trust me on that one.
The best workout I’ve ever had is when I am doing Braziian Jiu Jitsu. Talk about hitting the wall…. I burn tons of calories. . .way more than when I am lifting weights. The weights don’t fight back. lol But, I also lost my belly using Herbalife products. Hope all is well. Keep up the good work.

That sounds fun, I want to one day take some karate classes.
Do you happen to still have that beginner’s marathon training running workout? I would like to get my hands on one.
