Eating Chicken at Arby’s of Wesley Chapel in FL
I recently went to the Arby’s in Wesley Chapel, FL. I was in the area with a buddy and we were HUNGRY! So this being the real world, we decided to stop in and eat some fastfood at Arby’s instead of McDonald’s. I made this video that day a few weeks ago.
The point is that this is the REAL WORLD and sometimes you are faced with making healthier decisions even when the choices aren’t 100% healthy. In this case I had 2 chicken sandwiches and some water. I removed the buns and only ate the chicken. I saved myself well over 600+ calories with the 4 buns and plastered mayonnaise. I didn’t remove the breading from the chicken, but overall it was a decent meal.
Anyone know how many calories an Arby’s dollar menu chicken sandwich has?
What a great idea – ditching the buns. I like the way you used captial letters, “…this being the REAL WORLD…”
Thank you for the reminder.
Cheers
Well, it is. Some folks are always faced with temptation. Why not stare it in the face and start taking action to not succumb to it. Baby steps.
Love this post! Because no ones perfect. But this is something we can all do π
Great website. This website will help a lot of people. i am new at this I tring to get ideas for how to do my blog. The information is great Keep up the Good work
Hi Israel,
You did fine… chix=205, mayo=105, bun = 107 & lettuce = 3 calories… total would have been 488 but you stripped off 283 calories for a total of 205 calories per piece of chicken.
I took at look at the nutrition website and found even the choices that traditionally healthier were problematic… like the turkey subs have some much other stuff.
It is hard to keep your focus at a fast food joint but as you say – you need a calorie deficit. Way to go!
Cool, I knew I was close. So I saved 566 of crap calories by just eating the chicken!!! NICE!
Right on bro, thanks for sharing how to plan ahead and be prepared!
Like you said, we’re all living in the real world. There will be times when you are out and you are going to visit a fast food establishment, or you are due for another meal keep your metabolism high -but you forgot to pack something to eat!
I was at the movies a couple weeks ago, and miscalculated the length of the film. I packed one protein shake, but the movie ran longer than I thought! Since I eat every two hours, I was debating what to do. The theater had breaded chicken strips for 5 dollars — I went with that. They tasted great, and they were low in cals. All in all, I don’t think it disrupted my diet for that day, and it was barely even a ‘cheat meal.’
A good way to set up a meal contingency plan is to look at a map of places you frequent, then use google maps to find all of the food places nearby. Check out the menus in advance, and decide in advance what you will eat. That way you won’t be faced with the decision to go with a burger and fries instead of a chicken salad! I’m pretty familiar with my healthy options around town…the problem is being on the road. Even still, with a little bit of reasoning, like you showed us, we can make sure we are still eating healthy!
Good on ya bro, thanks for sharing as always.
Hmmm. There should be a website or app that does that for you brother! Look for it, if not, make one!!!!!
Nice post. Long time reader, first time poster π
I think this is really applicable to young readers you may have. While your out at the movies or just hanging out with your friends, not everyone will want to go to Cozy and get a chicken salad. You can still go to McD’s with your friends, just get a chicken sandwhich and take off the bun and keep the good time goin’.
Nice post brother
Definitely, that peer pressure sucks so much.
Thank you.Turkey merhaba My name is Eda π
