Consistent Weekly Weight Loss: 1 More Pound Lost
Consistent weight loss is where it’s at. For me at least. As long as I keep seeing that scale drop on a weekly basis, I am satisfied. Now, I only lost one pound which is 4 off of my 5 pound goal for the week, but I will take it and run. That makes me officially 314 lbs. I’ve updated my weight loss chart in case you were wondering how I’ve progressed over the last month.
I am dying to take a picture for my photo update, but I won’t be doing that until I fall under the 300 lb mark! That is part of my mini goal, along with losing 20 lbs in August. So far, I have only lost 1 lb in August, so I need to step my game up. I am not sure what’s going on really especially since my workouts are pretty intense and effective. I have been eating healthy, proportioned, counting calories, and not depriving myself, so that can’t be it. Can it? I am going to keep doing what I have been doing for another week and see if the weight loss number increases. My goal for next week is 5 lbs again.
In case you were wondering, I don’t have a twin and you aren’t hallucinating. I just Photoshopped two pictures of myself. π Did you notice the sweat on my arms? That’s right, it’s not oil I put on to look more muscular. LOL. I love my recumbent bike, it gets the job done and is so low impact! I think I look pretty damn good in the photos. Looking at these pics, would you think I weighed in at 314 lbs? C’mon, really? I don’t think so. I look like a big guy, maybe 260 lbs, but not 314 lbs!
That just goes to show that I am going to look awesome when I drop all the weight. Oh, before I forget, I think a weight loss competition is brewing against me and someone in the weight loss blogosphere, stay tuned (leave a comment if you would be interested in participating in the challenge).
Keep up the good work. You will see that 300 mark and get to take your picture before you know it!
Thanks Tim, I hope so!
Keep up the great work; every pound is a victory and should be celebrated! Keeps our motivation up and reinforces our “can do” attitude!
OK .. if you’re having a challenge soon .. will certainly join in. Have 19 more pounds to go to reach “half of me” and need to kick it in gear to get it off and get this last battle behind me. So .. am game if you are. :]
Very nice pic and great muscles! Yeah YOU and well done!!!
Ranae, thanks for the compliments. I agree, that every pound should be celebrated and used as motivation! I will let you now about the challenge.
Excellent job! I’m all about small victories this week too! Tuesday I had a great day because I realized that I can now cross my legs!! Woo hoo!
I agree, I wouldn’t guess you weighed 314!
I used to be able to put my legs over my head. Can’t anymore. I have always been flexible, so crossing my legs has never been an issue for me, but congrats on your victory!
Lookin great dude, even if you’re the same weight, it’s obvious you lost a lot of weight (fat), especially in your face, you look much healthier. π
The thing about weight training is that you’re building muscle mass, which is heavier than fat, so that’s probably why you’re not losing much. But the good thing about muscle weight is that it’s good weight, it makes you look good and is healthy…
Thanks Tom. I prefer to have that muscle weight because as I lose fat I look normal, not like people that lose tons of weight and have tons of loose skin and no muscle definition. I don’t want to have to need to get skin removal surgery…
Yeah you don’t want that “Fat Bastard” thing…
My point was just that losing weight isn’t everything, losing fat is the main point…
BTW, it’s Tomer [Tom = Tomer]
I know who you are Tomer. lol. Fat loss is key, as you said.
Good Job. Keep it up. π
Hey my friend,
Ever consider you may be gaining muscle? Which could account for the small total weight loss?
Ever try body fat percentage?
Just a thought.
Great work!
I have considered that and have an appointment in September with my new doctor to go over all my vitals, which will include fat percentage. I feel really healthy, although I weight over 300 lbs. I know there was a new study released saying that you can be overweight and healthy, something I knew a long time ago. I wrote about that and feeling like I have always been healthy, although I was obese. I think I wrote about that a year ago when I first started blogging here. Actually, when I went in for my emergency appendicitis surgery, the doctors told me I was in pretty good health and that the appendix issue was just something random.
Is,
Keep working hard man. Results will show – apparently they already are π Stay strict and keep that strong will with your routine and diet.
As always, keep liftin’ heavy π
Go heavy or go home!!!
I hope you win in that coming weight loss competition, you seem fit and ready for it anyway, no doubt about it.
Thanks, there may not be one though.
As you said, consistent weight-loss is the key. As long as you are making progress no matter how small, you are obviously on the way to your goals. Keep it up.
I really do want a big number, just for a major motivational boost.
You have a good site, but it doesn’t exactly fit my needs. I keep trying to unsubscribe, but continue to receive the e-mails anyway. I would appreciate any help that you can give me. Thank you.
Nancy, I am not sure how you are subscribed, but I can assure you that any emails you get should have a way for you to unsubscribe. It’s the law.
You can’t argue with consistent progress. Keep it up, man, that’s what success is all about.
Word up!
Consistency is key. Congratulations on your achievement.
Thanks Yannis.
Israel, as always you are a giant inspiration. I am back on the “losing” track as well, and hope to bust through my plateau in the next week. Just need to hit 3 more pounds and I’m at a new low. Keep up the good work.
And no – you do NOT look like 314 to me!
Man, you just made my day bro. You inspire me as well…now let’s get after it!
Keep going bro! You are doing awesome, you’ll get to 300lbs, and then passed it. Keep going! I can’t wait to see your progress photos!
Take care,
Andrew
Neither can I. 299 is going to be huge for me. It’s been a long time since I was at that weight. I can’t wait.
Good job and looks like you’re doing good. i just think that you should rethink about your goals because 20 pounds a month is really hard, especially when you are working out a lot because to keep the pace you have to eat more so you have enough gas to do your workout and by losing that much you might lose some muscle also which is not good since you’re working very hard to gain muscle.
I think you should go for 10 pounds a month, which is more reasonable and challenge also, if you lose more it’s ok, but if you lose “just 10” you will be satisfy because you reached your goal.
Keep the good work.
I wont be losing muscle, you can bet on that! 20 lbs is my goal, I aim high brotha, not low. I know I can do it.
Nice pic π – keep up the good work
Dude, looking forward to the competition. Whos the mystery blogger in the blogosphere? Jessies back on line by the way. Told her about your plans and she’s stoked too.
I’m excited to see Jesse back at it. As far as the mystery, you have to wait and see…
Looks good! I’ve been on the losing track too and will take any loss I can get. Contrats and keep it up.
Exactly!
Keep it up. Dropping fat and gaining muscle always feels good.
True dat.
There is no way I would have guessed you weighed 314 pounds. It looks like you are doing great!
Thanks
It is very difficult to consistently lose wight. I have tried it but all in vain. I lose one pound in one week and the next week I almost remain the same or sometimes even gain one pound due to crossing the limits when eating. Good to see that you are losing weight consistently. Good luck to you.
Thanks.
i have a good tips for you to reduce your weight.. egg breakfast :).
hard to believe?? the article about the research of egg breakfast is in my blog π
I will check that out. Thanks.
yep
yep
yep about the consistency….
Word up!!! Hows the shirt treating ya?
well this is a great news..congrats !!!
Good Job!! Having an active lifestyle and exercising regularly is the best way to get in shape
